Dr. Aron Nusbaum is a hair transplant surgeon who works out of The Miami Hair Institute and is well regarded in the field. Dr. Nusbaum takes great satisfaction in the fact that he personally conducts all of his own consultations with prospective patients. Body hair transplants, both robotic and manual, are among his specialties, and he is well-known for his assistance with innumerable repair situations. Among his many credentials are his Diplomate status with the American Board of Dermatology as well as his Fellowship status with the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Nusbaum completed his Dermatology Residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was recognized with the Award for Excellence in Dermatologic Surgery and gained expertise in hair problems while working with world-renowned dermatology experts. He is also a graduate of the University of Miami’s renowned Medical Scholars Program, where he achieved both his Bachelor of Science and M.D. degrees with Research Distinction while also completing his undergraduate and medical degrees. Dr. Nusbaum has won various honors and awards, including the Resident Award for Excellence in Dermatologic Surgery from the University of Maryland Medical Center’s Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery in June of this year. He also got honors for his work on “Comparison of Two Novel Debridement Methods in an in-vivo Porcine Wound Model,” as well as a slew of other recognitions. Dr. Nusbaum has also conducted and received numerous research and grant awards, including the 2015 International Society for Hair Restoration Surgery Research Grant: A comparison of apoptotic activity for Follicular Unit Extraction hair grafts stored in different holding solutions, Wound Healing, Research Fellow, UMMSM Department of Dermatology, Regenerative Medicine Research Program & Cutaneous Surgery, 2011 – 2012, and others. Dr. Nusbaum is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
