Dr. Y. Ilker Manavbaş was the Chief of the Department of Hand Surgery at the Istanbul Special Iren Hospital. After that, he worked as a Plastic Surgeon in the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic of Prof. Dr. Onur Erol and at the Zeeba Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition, he has worked as an Observer Physician for the universities of Kuopio, in Finland, and Linkoping, in Sweden.

Dr. Yurdakul Ilker is a member of a great number of societies, both national and international, including the Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon’s Society of Turkey and the Rhinoplasty Society. In addition, he is the creator and head of a Plastic Surgeons’ Study Group (HABEK) in Turkey, where he also serves as the chairman of the monthly meetings that center on rhinoplasty lectures. Since 2006, Dr. Yurdakul Ilker has maintained his practice in Istanbul Etiler under the moniker “Imep Estetik.” At the moment, he is serving in the capacity of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Istanbul Aesthetic Center.
Educational Background
Ankara University, which is located in Turkey and considered one of the country’s most famous educational institutions, is where Dr. Ilker Manavbasi received his degree in 1999. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Yurdakul went on to do a residency in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Yurdakul enrolled at Hacettepe University to achieve this goal, and he finished his specialization there in 2005. Dr. Ilker Manavbasi received his fellowship training in several procedures pertaining to reconstructive surgery. He concentrated his efforts mostly on various techniques for rhinoplasty. In addition, Dr. Yurdakul pursued his research training in hand reconstructive surgery in Cleveland.
Professional Career
Dr. Yurdakul began his medical career by practicing as a plastic surgeon at the Istanbul Iren Clinic for the first three years. In later years, Dr. Ilker Manavbasi became affiliated with Zeeba Clinic, where he worked as a visiting consultant in reconstructive surgery. In 2004, Dr. Yurdakul became a member of the aesthetic surgery institute run by Dr. Onur. He was one of the founders of the research institute.
In 2006, Dr. Yurdakul embarked on a journey to Sweden, where he attended Kuopio Institute and ultimately earned a diploma in corrective surgery. Dr. Yurdakul is currently a senior plastic surgeon at the Istanbul Aesthetic Clinic, which he joined shortly after his return to Turkey.
